Detergent residue, hard-water minerals and trapped hair build up in the gasket and behind the drum, where the rinse never reaches. That is the layer a cleaning tablet is for. Most washers have never been cleaned once.
How do I run the washer tablet?
One tablet into an empty drum, hottest cycle, nothing else in the machine. Wipe out the gasket afterwards while it is still damp.
How often should I run one?
Once or twice a month for the washer, once a month for the dishwasher, every couple of weeks for the disposal. A 24-tablet box is about a year.
Will it damage my machine?
No. They are plant-based and septic safe, and they work with HE, front-load and top-load washers and every common disposal unit.
Do I need all three?
Only for the machines you actually have. They are separate products because a washer drum, a dishwasher and a grind chamber collect very different things.
